Sept 5 1889: John Bradford Wood and wife Elizabeth arrived 1889 with small children and homesteaded Hazel Point, Deed Records S 27 T26 R1W land patent. 1890 School Records James B. Wood named one of three of the first Directors of newly formed school district. 1892-93 (and 1909) J.B. Wood, Director School Dist. 1901 Director of School Dist. 13 1901 School Records: Living on SW 40 WS ¼. The following children attended school this year: Flora age 17 Clarence age 15 Carl age 11 Elmer age 9 Lillian age 7 Willis age 5 1903 School Records: Living T. 26 Lot 2 Sec 35. Following children attending school: Clarence 17 Carl 13 Elmer 10 Lillian 8 Willis 7 Danny 5 1909 School Records: 1908 and 1911 signed petition for new roads 1909-1911 Polk Cencus: J.B. Wood, Stock Breeder 1910 Census: b. Illinois (married 1877) 1920 Census: Farmer b. Indiana Nathan WOOD, b. 1822 OH, died 1892, Coyle, Jefferson Co. WA. Sarah Jane SACKMAN, b. 1828 IN, died 1894 in Seattle. Both were buried on the Wood Homestead at Hazel Point, Coyle, WA. |
